MA Music Performance:

If your application successfully moves onto the interviewing stage, we will send you an email invitation to submit an audition video for our consideration 鈥� we will specify the length that the video should be and the type of performance material we would like to see, within the invitation email itself. Please note that 天美传媒官方 alumni students do not need to provide an audition video and would instead be contacted by either the Admissions team or a course tutor, about the next stage of their application.

MA Music Teaching:

If your application successfully moves onto the interviewing stage, we will invite you to interview for a place on the course 鈥� within your email invitation, you will be provided with the contact details for the course tutor, so that you can liaise with them directly about arranging a suitable time and platform for your interview.

Advanced Performance - PGCert

If an interview/audition is required in order to secure your place, you will be contacted by either the Admissions team or Ben Hall (Director of the Conservatoire), after we have made our initial assessments of your application 鈥� we would specify the kind of performance material we would like to see from you and this may potentially be submitted as an audition video or performed in person.

MA Screen Acting

Upon receipt of your online application form, if you are invited to audition, initially you will receive an email with guidance regarding how to submit your portfolio, and then at a later stage we will invite you to arrange an interview with the admissions tutor.

Interviews for the MA Screen Acting degree are typically held online, and conducted in February, but in-person interviews may be requested on an ad-hoc basis.

If you are unsuccessful in either your initial application or at the audition stage, we will email you to let you know.

MA Composition for Film, TV and Games

In addition to the below, an informal interview (remote or in-person) may be requested by the Admissions Tutor on a case-by-case basis.

For entry to this course, you will need to submit a portfolio of subject-related work. Upon receipt of your online application form, the admissions team will be in touch to request this and to provide guidance regarding how to submit your portfolio.

Your portfolio might include:

• Videos (or YouTube/Vimeo links) of relevant previous work
• URL link to your website

Home Students

- 聽A passport-style photo

- 聽A reference 鈥� We have attached a reference document for your referee to fill out. They can email your reference to admissions@chi.ac.uk if preferred. Current students at the university of Chichester will not be required to provide a reference.

- 聽Curriculum vitae (CV)

- 聽A written essay or your completed undergraduate dissertation

International Students

- 聽A passport-style photo

- 聽A reference 鈥� once we have received your application a reference document will be attached for your referee to fill out. They can email your reference to admissions@chi.ac.uk if preferred.

- 聽Two of your performances 鈥� Video links to Ballet and Contemporary Dance class, contemporary dance solo and performance excerpts. They should be at least three minutes long. This should be provided as a link (e.g. Youtube). Please include class footage rather than performance footage as this can be often unclear when assessing applications.

- 聽An academic essay written in English (this will need to include a short bibliography and cannot be a personal statement)

Audition

Once the dance team are ready to invite applicants to audition, they will be sent an invite for this - if auditioning in-person, they will be able to book onto an audition on ChiView. If auditioning online, they will be contacted either by admissions or the dance administrator to arrange a Teams interview.

The audition day begins at 9am and will finish at 4pm. Online auditions last for roughly 30 minutes. Audition fees are 拢30 for both in-person and online auditions. Current students are exempt from this.

MA Creative Writing

In addition to the below, an informal interview (remote or in-person) may be requested by the Admissions Tutor on a case-by-case basis.

For entry to this course, you will need to submit a portfolio of creative writing. Typically, we expect applicants to hold a good degree in English or a related subject, but the main judgement for entry is made on the quality of the portfolio. Your portfolio will be requested via email by the admissions team upon receipt of your online application form.

The portfolio of creative writing should represent some of your best work to date. Please select carefully and present accurately.

A portfolio might consist of any but not all of the following:

• three short stories
• three chapters from a novel or non-fiction book
• 5-8 poems
• a radio play
• two or three scenes of a stage play
• Or a combination of the above, e.g. a short story and five poems.

Please remember to select your writing that you consider to be your best work so far and in a form that suits you.

Postgraduate Nursing 天美传媒官方 (Adult/Mental Health pre-registration)

These interviews, where possible will be conducted face to face at Bishop Otter Campus. This provides an opportunity to meet the programme leads and view the facilities of the school.

You will be required to review a course presentation video prior to attendance at the interview. Interviews are held on set days and you will be interviewed by academic staff, practice partners and service users.

MSc Physiotherapy (Pre-Registration)

You will be required to complete a pre-interview task which will be emailed to you following an initial review of your application. Applicants successful to progress to interview will be invited to join an interview day on 天美传媒官方 campus, which will include your individual interview, and taking part in an ethical discussion.

MA Social Work

We offer a selection of both on-site and virtual interviews, from January onwards. If your application successfully moves onto the interviewing stage, we will send you an email invitation asking that you please book your place onto your preferred interview date, via your ChiView portal.

Once you have made your booking, you will then be able to access the interview guidance document, via the 鈥楨vents Schedule鈥� table, on ChiView 鈥� this document will provide helpful details on how to prepare (e.g. there will be a pre-interview task), a break-down of what will happen and when on the day itself, etc.

For all PGCE Primary and Secondary routes, interviews are being held in person. However, if circumstances do not allow you to interview in person then we can offer an online Teams interview (with the exception of PGCE Secondary Dance and Physical Education)

When invited to interview, you will be sent additional information which may include a task that they need to prepare for and an English and Maths Skills Audit.

After initial review of your application, the Programme Co-ordinator will arrange a meeting to discuss your background and the course.

This meeting can be held virtually or on campus, according to your preference.
